What does Action Schools! BC do?
Action Schools! BC promotes the creation of inclusive and diverse physical activity, physical education and healthy eating opportunities throughout the school day. The Action Schools! BC framework for action, focuses on six Action Zones, integrates the efforts of teachers, administrators, families and community practitioners to provide more opportunities for more children to make healthy choices more often.
What are the benefits of registering as an Action School?
By registering for free with Action Schools! BC schools receive complimentary assistance from the Action Schools! BC Support Team. In addition, your school will receive complimentary Action Schools! BC Classroom Action Workshops on physical activity and/or healthy eating. As well as, Classroom Action Bins and/or Healthy Eating Action Packs filled with valuable teaching resources and equipment.
Action Schools! BC is an initiative of 2010 Legacies Now and is supported by the BC Ministry of Healthy Living and Sport and the BC Ministry of Education.
How can a parent become involved with Action Schools! BC?
Inquire as to whether your child's school is registered, share information about the complimentary support and resources registered schools are eligible to receive and assist with a classroom or whole school activity.

The Physical Activity Line (PAL) is a free resource for practical and trusted physical activity advice. Our hours are Monday - Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
